Feeling vulnerable and a little “befuddled” after a mild head injury

I hit my head pretty hard on ” Good Friday” as I was doing yard work. Who knew that yard work could be so dangerous? I haven’t been feeling quite right ever since. I’m sure I have a mild concussion. I’ve been knocked completely unconscious four times in my life, so I really don’t need any more concussions!

It has me a little worried. Frustrated. And mad at myself for being so careless as to hit my head like that.

Also, my husband is scheduled to have four growths removed at the Amarillo VA hospital this coming Monday, April 29. I mentioned that on a post last week and I am so thankful for the many precious comments I got, saying that they would pray for my husband. He’s my best friend and I thank God for him every day.

“Lord, Your will, not mine. I trust You to work all things together for good, even my carelessness, and also my husband’s surgery. In Jesus’s name, Amen.”

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon! Concussions are nasty things, even mild ones. Hugs to you & hubby both! ❀

Praying for you both Linda! I’ve only had a concussion one time while snowboarding at Copper Mountain and it hurt bad…real bad. I have also had surgery like what your husband is going to have. I am praying for you both to be healed and strengthened! God bless you two!

Oh no! I have done something similar. I was trimming branches off tree limbs last year when I released one it came back and slapped me on my face. I got a huge bump and bruise. I survived. I was pretty mad at that branch though!

Ah, I’m sorry you got hurt on Friday. 😦 Yeah, it sounds like it may be a mild concussion… staying up longer and all that. It’ll heal. Praying anyway. πŸ™

Yeah, I was up late looking at pictures on your blog the other night, wasn’t I? My husband and our big dog, Baby, were watching me through the window when I got hurt. I came inside and sat down on the sofa and Baby immediately climbed up in my lap and gave me kisses, which she almost never does. But anytime that I am hurt or sick, she climbs up on me. Which is comforting, except for the fact that she weighs about 70 pounds!

I hope you are doing better now, Adam. Prayers for your health, too.

Oh, dear. Just what you need right now.

Praying for both you and your hubby.

Not that I think you’re an idiot, but maybe you should have someone with letters after their name take a look at your head?

    (LOVE the cartoon; ROFL!)

Lol. It probably wouldn’t hurt to have someone with letters look at my head.

I’m glad somebody liked the cartoon. I believe God has a sense of humor. After all, He created laughter. 😁

Thanks so much, Tricia. I’m glad you like the cartoon. My husband is a chaplain and he’s the one who sent it to me. πŸ˜€

I feel much better today. Over the weekend I went to a women’s conference at a nearby church and WOW — Glorious! Some of the women prayed for me and I know God answered their prayers.

He’s doing okay. His follow-up appointment is Wednesday, May 8. We should find out the results of his biopsies then. Thanks for asking!
