Sleepless

IMG_20190320_190730

Sleep disorders and PTSD have a tendency to go together. It’s after 4 in the morning and I have been awake since 1 a.m. I have to get up at 5:30, to go with my stepdaughter to her doctor appointment in the city.

I guess I am up.

Thanks, Ryan. It’s been a long but good day. We just got back from Amarillo. I think I will sleep tonight.

Take a nap at the doctor’s office.

I struggle with this as well. It can be so frustrating. I keep a notepad by my bed, and when struggling with insomnia I write down my prayers (instead of just saying them). It slows down my mind and helps me really think through what I want to say to God. It doesn’t always help me go back to sleep, but at least the time isn’t wasted tossing and turning and spiraling deeper into anxiety.

I understand. I go to a sleep DR. I will not sleep for several days if I did have help. 🙂
